On 6 December, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Episcopal Consecration Service of Bishop Philip Lim, the newly elected Bishop of the Methodist Church in Singapore. Our heartiest congratulations to Bishop Philip. We pray for God’s blessings as he assumes this new role of leading God’s people in the Methodist Church in Singapore.

On 21 December, the General Secretary was invited to preach at the Christmas evangelistic service of Providence Presbyterian Church. We thank God for the opportunity and pray for a bountiful harvest during the event.

On 26 December, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Archdiocesan Interreligious Christmas Celebration hosted by Cardinal William Goh.

On 20 November, the General Secretary hosted the Ambassador of Israel, His Excellency Vared Hazan, during his visit to the Bible House. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms Avigail Spira.

On 20 November, the General Secretary was invited to present the report of the Bible Society of Singapore during the 49th Session of the Trinity Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Singapore.

On 24 November, the Bible Society was invited to preach at Kum Yan Methodist Church for Bible Society Sunday. Rev Gabriel Teo, Director of the Chinese Department of the Sower Institute of Biblical Discipleship, was the preacher. We thank God for the opportunity to share more about the Bible Mission and pray that more people will be inspired to support our mission of making the Word of God known to all peoples.

On 27 November, SowCare, at the invitation of Hope Initiative Alliance, presented to SavillsIM on the homelessness situation in Singapore and shared about our initiatives to support homeless individuals through the Safe, Sound, Sleeping Place (S3P) at the Bible House. This presentation was part of SavillsIM's corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to raise awareness about homelessness among their staff.

On 10 October, the General Secretary was invited as a speaker to speak at the morning devotion for the students of Singapore Bible College School of Theology Chinese.

On 12 September, the General Secretary was invited to attend the State Address by His Holiness Pope Francis, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies.

On 12 September, the General Secretary attended a lunch meeting to discuss the APEX Leaders’ Summit in 2025.

On 13 September, the General Secretary was invited by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore to attend the “Interreligious Youth with Pope Francis” event held at Catholic Junior College.

On 15 September, the General Secretary was invited to preach at the Church Camp of CityLight Community Church.

From 22 to 28 September, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Lausanne Fourth Congress in Seoul, South Korea.

From 7 August to 9 August, the General Secretary attended the Asia Evangelical Alliance General Assembly 2024 held at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. During the General Assembly, he was re-elected to the Executive Committee and appointed its Secretary.

On 21 August, the General Secretary met up with leaders from the Singapore Centre for Global Christianity (SCGM), Antioch 21, and Fellowship of Missions Organisations in Singapore (FOMOS) to discuss collaborations on Missions.

On 25 August, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Methodist Missions Society Banquet 2024.

On 27 August, the General Secretary met up with the General Secretary of the Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelisation (CCCOWE) 世界華福中心, Rev Dr David Doong 董家骅牧师（博士） to discuss collaboration opportunities to serve the global Chinese Christians.

On 4 July, the General Secretary and several national Bible Society General Secretaries and leaders were invited to a luncheon hosted by Mrs Dorothy Chan, former Executive Director of the Far East Organization. We thank Mrs Dorothy Chan for her generosity and hospitality towards our guests from overseas Bible Societies.

From 4 July to 5 July, the General Secretary hosted a series of consultation meetings with the other General Secretaries and leaders of national Bible Societies to discuss how the Bible Societies could work together for the Bible Mission.

On 5 July, the Bible Society hosted the Bible Mission Banquet 2024 to commemorate the 201st year of the Bible Mission in Singapore and the 187th anniversary since official registration in Singapore. We are grateful to Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law, for gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honour. We are also grateful to Mrs Dorothy Chan for sponsoring the banquet at the Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

From 20 to 24 July, the General Secretary organised a visit for a delegation from the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), World Chinese Christianity Alliance (WCA)–a WEA-affiliated organisation, and several regional Evangelical Alliances to visit China. The visit serves to help global evangelical leaders learn more about the state of Christianity in China and develop relationships with key leaders of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) and the China Christian Council (CCC).

On 1 June, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Engagement Session with Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Eric Chua, organised by the Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers (PEERS) office of the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

On 6 June, the General Secretary taught at Tung Ling Bible School on “Spiritual Leader”.

From 1 May to 3 May, the General Secretary attended the United Bible Societies Asia Pacific Gathering held in Sydney, Australia.

From 7 to 8 May, the General Secretary attended the Inaugural National Chinese Pastors’ Summit held at Village Hotel Changi. The Bible Society played a supporting role during this gathering of over 160 Chinese-speaking pastors.

On 12 May, the General Secretary was invited to preach at the evangelistic Mandarin service of the Chapel of Christ the Redeemer.

On 14 May, the General Secretary met with the directors of the Foreign Manpower Management Division of the Ministry of Manpower to explore collaboration with SowCare on joint projects to serve the migrant domestic workers in Singapore.

On 18 April, the General Secretary was invited to the Installation Service of the new Singapore Centre for Global Missions National Director.

On 28 April, the General Secretary was invited to the Renewal Christian Church 35th Anniversary Service cum Luncheon. Our heartiest congratulations to the church for this momentous milestone.

On 4 March, the General Secretary met up with Dr Michael G Bassous, General Secretary / CEO of Bible Society Lebanon, and Rev Dr Erní Walter Seibert, Executive Director of Bible Society of Brazil, to discuss opportunities for inter-region partnerships.

On 4 March, the General Secretary was invited to witness the time capsule uncovered at Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church. Amongst the articles recovered in the time capsule, was a Chinese Bible gifted by the British and Foreign Bible Society in 1919. We thank God for the historical role the Bible has played in the church life of Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church and pray that the Bible will continue to engage Christians with sound understanding of the Holy Scriptures. On 19 March, the General Secretary met up with Mr Rudy Taslim and Ms Lam Bao Yan, founders of Love on Ukraine, to discuss collaboration opportunities for humanitarian relief projects for Ukrainian refugees.

On 20 March, the General Secretary met up with the National Director of the Singapore Centre for Global Mission, Rev Manik Corea, to discuss partnership opportunities between the two mission agencies.

On 26 March, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Passover Seder hosted by the Ambassador of Israel, Mr Eliyahu Vered Hazan together with the Chief Rabbi Mordechai Abergel.

On 31 March, the General Secretary was invited to preach at the Resurrection Sunday Service of CityLight Community Church.

From 31 January to 2 February 2024, the General Secretary was invited to attend the United Bible Societies Strategic Consultation Meeting held in the United Kingdom to discuss long-term strategic plans for the global Bible Mission in consultation with other Bible Societies who were present.

On 21 February, the General Secretary met with Mr Grant Thomson and Mr Chris Melville, the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Missions Officer of the Bible Society of Australia, to discuss collaboration opportunities for the Bible Mission in the Asia Pacific region.

On 22 February, the General Secretary was invited to attend a Lo-Hei Celebration hosted by the Association of Employment Agencies (Singapore). Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Manpower, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

On 22 January, the Bible Society hosted the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity organised by the Archdiocesan Catholic Council for Ecumenical Dialogue (ACCED). Pastors and leaders representing various denominations attended the prayer meeting for a time of prayer.

On 3 January, the General Secretary met up with Pastor Luo from Myanmar. The Bible Society was happy to be giving US$20,000 for humanitarian relief work for the suffering people in conflict zones in Myanmar.
